Photoshoots
Kelpiegallery presents photos of adult Australian kelpies. The dogs are presented with pedigree names, parentage, coat color, date of birth, country of origin and importing country, as well as a link to Kennel Meringa's Online Kelpie Database. The purpose of Kelpiegallery is to show the diversity of the dog breed. I photograph all Australian kelpies, regardless of color, hair type, pedigree or merit.

The Photoshoots
I photograph kelpies where I meet them, which can be in all sorts of places. But most often I photograph kelpies in connection with various events such as dog shows, dog competitions or kelpie meetings. I also get invited to some kennel meetings and photograph the dogs that are there. If you want to have your kelpie photographed for kelpiegallery, join the Facebook group Kelpiegallery Backstage and keep an eye out there when I'm going to photograph.
If you have questions about the photography session itself or if you are interested in inviting me to your own event, please send me an email,

Preparations By You
Teach your kelpie to stand still for several seconds. It helps me a lot during the photo session if your kelpie can stand still and straight, all four paws on the ground, a little longer than one second. Preferably your kelpie should stand with "one paw in each corner".
If your dog cannot be off leash, it is also fine to have it on a leash. In that case, bring a thin leash/collar that is not so clearly visible in the fur.
Bring a really good treat or a toy your kelpie likes to the photo shoot.

Guidelines
This is the guidelines I have when I take photos of kelpies:
- The dog should be of the pure breed Australian kelpie and should be registered in an FCI-recognized kennel club.
- The dog should be of the pure breed Working kelpie and registered FCI-recognized kennel club or WKC.
- The kelpie should be 12 months or older.

Priority
I would like to photograph as many kelpies as possible. However, sometimes there is no time to take photos of all dogs that happen to be in the same place and time, or the opportunities just run out. Therefore, I have set a priority list in which order I would like to photograph the dogs.
- Kelpies I have not photographed before.
- Kelpies I already photographed to the gallery.
- Kelpies younger than 1 year - the images will not be in the gallery.

The Images
Once the photoshoot is complete, it usually takes a couple of weeks before the images are published on the website. Sometimes it can take a couple of months(!) The time varies depending on how many dogs I have taken photos of and how much I have to do otherwise. I do this in my spare time, so it probably takes me a different amount of time to finish.
The images are published on each dog's own page and I write a note on Facebook when new dogs or images been uploaded to the website.
