The photographer
The person behind the Kelpiegallery is me - Sofia Olsson from Sweden. I’m born 1984 and live in southwestern of Sweden.

I have been photographing since childhood and started in the 90's with a very simple analogue camera. As I wanted to take better pictures, an interest in photography developed. The cameras became more and more advanced. Since 2004 I have been using Nikon photo equipment and currently I have a Nikon D750. Photography is one of my biggest hobbies. I also have the privilege of working with photography in my current work.

Dogs have been in my family since I was born and I have always had a big love for animals overall. I got my first own dog when I was 10 years old. It’s was a German Shepherd with the name Boggas. With him I started to compete in various dog sports. It may not have been any top results we achieved, but he taught me a lot and I took the first stumbling steps into the big dog world. It have been a number of different dog sports with all my dogs.

For me it’s really fun to train and compete with my dogs. Through my hobby in inspiring others to enjoy competing, I have trained as a dog instructor and regularly hold dog courses in, among other things, nose work.
My kelpies
Since 2004 I have only had Australian kelpies and am in my third kelpie.
Australian kelpie has been a breed I have long been curious about since my childhood. However, it wasn't until the early 2000s that I decided to get my own kelpie. When I was just over 20 years old, I bought my first own Australian kelpie, Casey. He became the starting point for a life filled with dogs, and of course - Kelpiegallery!
